Hi,
Any knows how to install drivers for this soundblaster? The November CTP drivers available from Creative does not work on the latest CTP (build 5308).
Regards /Oscar

I guess if they don't install, you'll just have to wait until another driver gets released.

I don't have such a folder on the DVD created by the MSDN download. I had to do a rebuild after installing the Creative beta 1 drivers so any help in locating this file would be greatly appreciated.

They work fine for me in Beta 2 (5384.4). Drivers aren't build-specific, though they may state a minimum build level.

Right so i installed the public build 5384 of vista beta 2. The creative ones online don't work for me. The install cd has worked once and that advice of looking in the audio/ drivers folder works every time. Thing is i still get corrupted sound most of the time and using itunes and quicktime the sound just cuts out when ever it feels like it. So i guess we just have to wait for the lastest driver :@
Hey Oscar:
Well for all of those that are just as frustrated as I was here is a bit of relief. I spent 6 hours trying to fight this system and as all great discoveries this just came as if from heaven. I am using an an HP Pavillion and decided to install an Audigy 2 Value soundcard. At first after finishing my installation of Vista 64 it notified me that there was no driver for my sound card. I went to the Creative site and downloaded their beta driver for Vista. I ran the Vista 64 and it did not complete saying that my software was not supported by it. It seems that it was designed for the beta 1 of Vista and they have to update it. After a while I decided to see if I could reinstall the XP 64 driver and all went great with the exception that there was no sound coming out . I knew that something was going right because it asked me if I wanted to re-install the driver and also at the end of the installation the speaker icon had some green colored waves coming out of it. Frustrated I decided to re-install the Vista 64 driver on top of the XP drivers and after two attempts voila great sound!!! Sound was coming out of it as if by a miracle. …old windows theme I must warn you! The sound is of good quality. But there is only one thing and that is my microphone is not working right. Does anyone have a suggestion for this problem? Also to let you know I have not been able to install all of the creative applications so I decided to un-install them. I want to take advantage of the speech recognition software built in. It worked for me before I hope they have not messed with it too much I hope that this helps some people out there. Now if I could figure out how to import my Outlook contacts, the import feature is not working for me.
